Antonio Marino

Born and raised in El Paso, Antonio began his career behind the chair in San Antonio after earning his license in 2019. In 2022 he made the move to Austin, and by September 2023 he’d found his home closer to downtown at Image Studios, where APEX Hair + Color Studio was born. Antonio specializes in dimensional color across a wide range including rich brunettes, fiery coppers, and bombshell blondes, along with transformative layered haircuts tailored to each client. In September 2024, Antonio began his own sober journey, a commitment that opened the door to Schwarzkopf Professional’s educational program and earned him the title of Ask Expert in October 2025. Between the chair and the classroom, he’s found more space to share his vision: creating art through hair and helping others step into their own confidence. His goal with every client is to remind you, and himself, that we all have the power to change our lives in the ways we see fit. The confidence was always there; he just helps you see it for yourself.
